We offer a series of optional offerings each day.
Our community discussions are designed to feel like 'pop up' sessions rather than formal conference-style workshops. Alongside our core community discussions, there will be a number of holistic offerings to enjoy.
We want everyone attending EdFest to feel free to walk to where they want to walk to at any given point: whether that's to one of the community discussions, to experience a holistic activity, to group together organically following interests and ideas that emerge over the weekend, or to spend time by themselves soaking in the environment.
In the previous years, these included:
- Positive Games with Paul Robinson
- Historic Educational Trauma with Andy Williams
- How Do We Account For Power Dynamics in the Training Room with Briony Nicholls and Nicole Lenner
- Training in TA: Educational Festival or Over-adapting Bootcamp with Keith Tudor
- Shaping Stories: Exploring Educational Scripts Through Clay with Alina Comendant
- Everyday Goddesses: Walking the Land with Three Virgin Goddesses with Jackie Barrow
Our theme for 2026, to celebrate our 5th anniversary, is Identity and Power. In TA this can be located in the Cycle of Development: Stage Four - Identity & Power.
If you would like to host a community discussion, we ask that you send us a brief description of no more than 50 words, by Friday 22nd May to our email inbox: edfest22@gmail.com.
We want the weekend to feel fluid, without anyone needing to over-organise anything, so we invite our session hosts to hold their planning lightly and keep their session simple.
